The satin fabric gives it a shiny, reflective finish, which accentuates the richness of the color. The most striking feature is the deep waterfall or draped neckline at the front. This creates soft folds and a very sensual and fluid effect, which falls deeply on the décolleté. The straps are thin and are tied or closed behind the neck. This leaves the shoulders and much of the back exposed. The dress is tight at the bust, waist and hips, following and enhancing the curves of the body. It is a mermaid cut, which hugs the silhouette to the knees or mid-thigh. From the knees down, the skirt flares out in a flared way, creating a slight train or a trumpet shape that adds elegance and movement when walking. The back is completely open and low, with laces that tie horizontally at the bottom, adding a decorative detail and helping to keep the garment in place.
